UX Design & Consulting
The Hawaii Restaurant Association is the third-largest advocacy organization in the state, representing more than 4,000 local restaurants and foodservice establishments across Hawaii.

The Challenge
The client wanted to update their website to better convey trust and reliability to members and sponsors. Their existing site had disorganized content, poor visual hierarchy, broken links, and outdated design that was hurting their credibility and user experience.
What I found
During the initial audit, the key issues were: poorly organized content, no clear prioritization of events, inconsistent spacing, broken homepage links, and navigation links that redirected users away from the site instead of opening in a new tab.
What I Did
Reorganized content by recency and importance, refined the layout for better scannability, added hover animations to buttons and external links, and fixed navigation links to keep users on the site longer.
The Result
The association was thrilled with the updated look, layout, and animations. The new design made it easier to showcase events and media while significantly improving readability for their members and sponsors.
