Web Design
Intermountain Healing Hearts is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and adults with congenital heart defects in Utah and the Intermountain West, connecting families with essential resources, education, and support groups.

Connecting Families Through a Trusted Digital Platform
Before this project, the organization primarily relied on its Facebook page to share event information, handle event registrations, and provide community resources for families. However, to reach a broader audience and improve accessibility, they needed a dedicated website. The website would serve as a central hub for all of their resources, while also helping to build trust and provide reassurance for families newly navigating a congenital heart disease (CHD) diagnosis.
Shaping the Project Around Board Priorities
After meeting with the board of directors, three clear priorities emerged. First, a design that communicates trust and raises awareness around available resources. Second, a public events page accessible to new and prospective members who do not have access to their private Facebook groups. Third, a dedicated support page where newly diagnosed families could quickly find help and reach out as soon as possible.
What My Team Did
Built a full website centered around trust and accessibility. The homepage and support page were designed to create a warm and welcoming experience for families in a vulnerable moment. The events page was structured for skimmability so users could quickly find and sign up for upcoming events.
The Result
The board responded with strong enthusiasm after launch. Existing members were impressed by the refreshed look, and first-time visitors found support resources easy to access and upcoming events simple to find.
